e-Development Conference 2016

The e-Development Conference 2016 was dedicated to the challenges and opportunities that the digital economy brings to modern business and society. At a time when information technologies are becoming a key factor of competitiveness and innovation, the conference brought together experts and decision-makers with the goal of emphasizing the role of the ICT sector as the foundation of a new economic model.

Special emphasis was placed on the importance of infrastructure development, education, and digital skills, as well as on the adaptation of companies and institutions to modern business models based on knowledge and technology. Topics such as cloud technologies, mobility, big data analytics, social networks, and the emergence of the Internet of Things were discussed, all of which together form the foundation of the so-called third IT platform.

The conference also opened an important discussion on security and trust in the digital environment, particularly in the context of using cloud solutions in electronic business. Through concrete examples from practice and the analysis of global trends, e-Development 2016 contributed to a better understanding and preparation of the business and professional community for new waves of digital transformation.

The e-Development 2016 Award was presented to Miodrag Ranisavljević, owner of the PoslovniSoftver.NET portal, as a distinguished individual for his contribution to the development of the information society in the Republic of Serbia.

As the sixth annual conference of the e-Development Association, this event continued the tradition of bringing together the professional and business community around topics that shape the future of electronic business and cloud technologies in Serbia.
