e-Development Conference 2013

The e-Development Conference 2013 was dedicated to promoting Serbia as an information society. Through the analysis of concrete examples and dialogue between experts and decision-makers, it was emphasized that information and communication technologies, together with decisive and coordinated actions by the state, business sector, and institutions, can become a key driver of economic growth and business innovation.

Modern technologies permeate all aspects of everyday life, and neglecting these opportunities, along with the existing and potential resources that Serbia possesses, would mean missing an important development opportunity. Through relevant topics and expert presentations, the conference further drew the attention of the public and competent institutions to the importance of the strategic development of the information society.

Participants included representatives of state, social, business, educational, media, and other sectors involved in the development and application of information and communication technologies in various fields – from governance and education to healthcare and media.

The focus of the conference was on improving business operations, education, and overall social development through modern technologies, while encouraging the exchange of experiences and cooperation among different stakeholders in digital development.

The e-Development 2013 Award was presented to Milovan Matijević, Director of Mineco Computers, as a distinguished individual for his contribution to the development of the information society in the Republic of Serbia.

The e-Development Conference 2013 continued the tradition of annual gatherings organized by the e-Development Association and further strengthened its role as a platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and the promotion of digital transformation in Serbia.
