e-Development Conference 2012

The e-Development Conference 2012 was held on March 23, 2012, in Belgrade as the second annual professional business conference of the e-Development Association. The event focused on presenting successful examples of information technology use and their concrete value for the development of the Republic of Serbia.

The goal of the conference was, through examples of good practice and concrete case studies, predominantly from the domestic business environment, to demonstrate how the introduction of modern IT solutions into business flows and processes brings significant savings, increases efficiency, and strengthens competitiveness. In conditions of challenging business operations, such approaches represent important support for the development of the economy and society.

Representatives of state institutions, business, education, healthcare, media, and civil society took part in the conference. Through a multidisciplinary approach, the event opened questions related to the application of modern information and communication technologies in improving governance, business operations, education, and public communication.

The event gained additional importance through the e-Development 2012 Award, presented to Nikola Marković, President of the Information Society of Serbia, for his contribution to the development of the information society in the Republic of Serbia.

The e-Development Conference 2012 further strengthened the role of the e-Development Association as a meeting point for experts, institutions, and the business community, continuing the dialogue initiated by the first conference and contributing to the promotion of digital transformation in Serbia.
